For nearly 30 years, the historic Hotel Charlevoix has sat vacant in downtown Detroit.
Most of the floors have remained a mystery because the owner removed the stairways. But with a bit of courage and muscle, we ascended the building and precarious fire escape, getting a rare glimpse of the interior.
